Today, Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed at factory visit to Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd Nnewi said that Innoson will be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, beneficiaries of the recently National Media Launch of the Made-in-Nigerian Campaign. The campaign which is being championed by the Ministry of Information and Culture and with the collaboration of Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment is focused on letting Nigerians know that the Federal Government is not just paying lip service to this whole issue of Buy Made-in-Nigeria.
After taking a tour of the vehicle manufacturing facilities and witnessing the various stages of production processes, The Minister praised the entrepreneurial spirit of Innoson and made a special promise to him that he will be the biggest of Federal Government desire to patronize Made In Nigeria products.
On his address to the Minister, the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Chief Dr Innocent Chukwuma OFR thanked the Minister for his visit and urged him to portfolio to communicate to the Government that Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing is not a private project but a National project which if given maximum support will bring major foreign exchange to the country and create thousands of employment.
Some of the personalities who received the Minister at the factory includes; Delegation from the Anambra State Government led by the Commissioner of Agriculture, SSA to Governor on Budget and Planning, Melie Onyejepu, Nnewi North Traditional Chairman, Prince Chukwudi Orizu, PG Nnewi North, Ugochukwu Udemezue, Chief Gabriel Chukwuma, Tony Nnajiofor, Onusogu Jude Nnamdi, Martin Okafor, Alfred Nwosu, Endi Ezengwa, Peter Nwosu etc.
